Nashville’s Most Popular Music Attractions

Nashville is a vibrant, modern city that has a rich, fascinating past

For both visitors and residents, Nashville is a great place to visit. There are many fun activities. These events combine Nashville’s musical heritage with a night out. If you look closer into it, General Jackson Showboat Lunch and dinner Cruises is attraction worth visiting. The Showboat is a 300-foot paddlewheel riverboat. It is reminiscent a bygone age — the nineteenth century! The boat gives passengers a tour of Nashville, and other nearby areas. The boat cruises along the Cumberland River which winds through some of America’s most beautiful countryside. Four decks can be visited during the three-hour excursion. For lunch, you can choose from Southern cuisine or a multi-course roast chicken feast. Guests can enjoy a live performance entitled “Country Music U.S.A. – a Musical Journey” as they eat. The concert features classic Grand Ole Opry songs and current country music. For those who wish to “imbibe” during the celebrations, a cash bar is available. Legend has it that no one leaves the General Jackson Showboat unsatisfied.

Nashville Night Life Dinner Theater is a wonderful place to enjoy a fun meal. This dinner theater was voted the second most popular attraction in Nashville by the Nashville Business Journal (behind Grand Ole Opry!). This evening pays tribute to country music legends past and present, as well the songs they wrote. Special guest appearances by entertainers like Tommy Cash and Dianna Murrrell are made throughout the season. The show lasts one and a quarter hours. Participation by the audience is encouraged, which adds to the enjoyment factor. The dinner menu includes chicken, pasta, homemade buns, sausage, potatoes and fresh vegetables. The dinner show takes place in a remote area of Nashville. However, those who have been there say it’s well worth the effort.

The Country Music Hall of Fame is last but not least. It is part of a $37million facility that also houses artifacts relating to country music’s “greats”. The “Wall of Honor” is a popular destination that displays every platinum or gold country music album. You can also see exhibits about Hall of Fame members and a visit to the RCA Studio B. Elvis Presley recorded there! It’s an important piece of Nashville history that you can still appreciate!
